Acute oral LD 50 for rats =129 -157 mg/kg
Biochemistry:
During photosynthesis, superoxide is generated, which damages cell
membranes and cytoplasm.
Mode of action:
None - selective contact herbicide, absorbed by the foliage, with
some translocation in the xylem.
Uses:
Broad- spectrum control of broadleaf weeds and grasses in fruit
orchards, cotton, sugarcane, alfalfa, clover and control general weed on non crop land.
This herbicide become inactive when contacts with soil.
Avoid using it on young stem and branches.
In potato cultivation use it after generating weeds at rates of 3
L/ha
In fruit ,citrus and grape orchards: use it at 3-4 L/ha
Antidote:
Rinsing gastric by using mineral absorbtion material as Kaolin
recommended laxative.
