Mode of action:
Selective contact herbicide, absorbed
mainly by the foliage, with very little translocation, but also absorbed by the
roots, with translocation acropetally in the xylem.
Uses:
It is used in cultivation of rice
, beans (particulary soya bean), cereals, peanut, peas and maize against broad
leaves weeds specialy shepherd’s pure, nut sedge, datura, velvet leaf,
cocklebur, wild mustared, common chickweed and goosefood. In rice
field use bentazone when rice has 5-7 leaves against arrow head (Sagittaria
trifolia) and water plantain (Alisma plantago). also use it in bean
and soybean field when its weeds have 2 to 4 leaves.
In all kind of bean and soybean use at
2-3 L/ha and use for rice at 3 L/ha
