Acute oral LD 50 for rats= 5000 mg/kg
Biochemistry:
React with, and inactivates, the sulfhydryl groups of amino acids and enzymes of fungal cells,
resulting in disruption of lipid metabolism. respiration and production of ATP.
Mode of action:
Broad spectrum, non- systemicfungicide with protective action
Uses :
It controls many fungal diseases such as leafspot, rust, downy mildow, scabs, ect. , in wide range of field crops, fruit,
nuts, vegetables, ornamentals, ect. More frequent uses include control of
cucumber and vine downy mildow, apple scab and early blight. its used for foliar
application or as seed treatment for cereal smuts.
For seed treatment against bunt: it is used at 2 kg /1000
And for fruits: its used at 2 kg/1000 after petal fall.
This toxin is effective in control of citrus mites too , since it
has Manganese and zinc partly could remove the sign of these elements
reduction.
